Keeping in view of the blood requirement in Cuttack in summer, Sri S. K. Priyadarsi, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack organised a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Indoor Stadium, Cuttack on 10.05.2023. Police Personnel of DCP Cuttack donated blood. 134 units of blood were collected.
A Regional Branch of Indian Red Cross Society has been opened in Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack on 05.10.2008. With this, we have become part of Global Red Cross Movement that is aimed at improving lives of the vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity.
1. Aims and Objects :
- Aid, relief and rescue during natural calamities etc.
- Guide and assist the poor, indigent, disabled and physically weak and children who are either lost or helpless on the streets or other public places.
- Assist in preventing exploitation of the poor and indigent by any organized group.
- Prevent harassment and help the children in need of care and protection.
- Prevent harassment of women in public places or otherwise.
- Arrange for sustenance and shelter for every person in custody including poor persons.
- Provide assistance particularly prompt medical aid to victims of road accidents.

On the eve of World Blood Donors Day, IRCS Regional Branch of Police Commissionerate Bhubaneswar-Cuttack organised 6 Blood Donation Camps in the Twin City of BBSR-CTC on 14.06.2021 wherein 290 units of blood were collected.
